Fashion video
I’ve produced fashion video over the years for designers, English Eccentrics. However, not all have covered a fashion shoot by the celebrated photographer, John Swannell. Back in May I had the opportunity to shoot two videos for the label’s Spring 2007 & Autumn/Winter 2007 collections.
The first had a documentary approach following action behind the scenes of the stills shoot as well as in front of the camera… the model being made up, the outfits being prepared and capturing something of how John works on a commission. The second concentrated on the clothes more, keeping the video camera constantly moving and swirling round the model to see the clothes in movement.
Both videos were edited at Player and encoded to DVD and uploaded to the English Eccentrics YouTube site. They now form an integral part of the label’s e-marketing strategy and will be added to as new collections and products are launched. Is fashion video coming of age at last?
Hello
Hello. I’m Nick Purbeck. This is my first blog on my new Player Communications website.
I am a video producer who works across a number of different sectors. For the most part I make programmes for business. Sometimes it’s for the government… sometimes it’s for global brands… sometimes it’s for charities… sometimes for SMEs… sometimes it can be for television or publishing on the web.
Business keeps moving, you’ve got to follow. This site is dedicated to finding new business to produce interesting new work for… web television, e-marketing and e-learning. Have a look at the video excerpts on the site and if they interest you, let me know. If you think I’ve missed a trick or two, tell me about it.
